Countless kittens were found abandoned near our old farm house on Canal Road, on a rural delivery route northwest of Princeton. I worked with a sympathetic  local veterinarian to have them vaccinated, spayed or neutered. I hand painted signs with pictures of kittens to place by the roadside, and gave away kittens on weekends. This painting evolved out of the signage and the experience.   Wm Bock
