Sea Cliffs

acrylic on paper 15″ x 11″ 1998

Several trips to Bermuda with my family in the 80s and 90s provided ample opportunities to sketch all over the island. I had the pleasure to meet and sketch with Alfred Birdsey; at the time very much my senior. He was a disciplined artist and stuck to a strict routine of painting. It was inspirational and an important learning moment to have him take interest and comment on my technique and sketches.
