Photo Paints

“Printing my original photographs on watercolor paper with transparent pigmented inks, I was able to recreate an effect akin to silkscreen printing which I had explored in the 1970’s and 1980’s, along with stone lithography, intaglio, and drypoint etching.

Utilizing the ever evolving properties of photoshop and lightroom I ran the paper through epson 3800 or P800 printers as many as 5 times, adding layers of pigment. Then I paint on the print using acrylics and acrylic glazes to create an embellished print, (ep). Because of the extensively painted areas, each piece in an efition is unique.
